Drafting in Pages
Writing in Notes
Writing in MailTyping it out
33 minutes
For the whole draft, at 45 words a minute.
Write essays and notes by talking them through.
Hold Fn, speak, and Speechy types clean, punctuated text into any app on your Mac. Drafts, study notes and emails start with your voice, not a blank page.
What you can do
Get a first draft out of your head
Talk through your argument in Pages, Word or Google Docs. Speechy leaves out filler words and handles the punctuation, so you start with something to edit.
Take study notes in your own words
Explain a chapter or a lecture back to yourself in Notes or Notion. Say “bullet” or “number one” and your points become a tidy list.
Email professors and classmates
Dictate a clear email in Mail or Gmail. Change your mind mid-sentence, like “at 8, sorry, make it 9”, and Speechy keeps only the correction.
Same essay.
A quarter of the time.
Where you’d be on a 1,500-word draft at the moment Speechy finishes it.
Talking it through
8 minutes
For the same draft, 4x faster with Speechy.

A habit before finals.

Questions
Hold the Fn key, speak, and let go. For longer thoughts, tap Fn once to start and tap again to stop. Speechy types your words into the app you are using, so there is nothing to copy and paste. A small floating pill shows when Speechy is listening, and you can pick a different shortcut in Settings.
You can dictate in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Hindi, Japanese, and Chinese, or let Speechy detect the language for you. Some languages depend on which voice model you choose in Settings, and accuracy can vary between languages.
Lifetime is $59 once for your first Mac and $19 for each extra Mac, with all future updates included. Or pay $9.99 a month for one Mac.
Request a full refund within 14 days of payment from Settings on your Mac or speechy.tech/dashboard/plan. Lifetime purchases and the first paid Monthly or Yearly invoice qualify; renewals do not. Refunding a subscription also cancels it. For help, email contact@speechy.tech.
